I gave this one star because I am so sick of authors who end the story with over 50% left, leave it in a cliffhanger and proceed to fill the rest of the book with the same story that was published previously. If you leave the book open-ended just to have fans buy more books it makes the buyer look like a fool. I'm so sick of this. I find it lazy, greedy, and not worth my time or limited money. I never read this author before, and I will never read her again. While I found the storyline interesting, I cannot deal with the greed of authors who do this. Stephen King used to be my favorite author. I have every book he has written up until the point when he started the serial thing and I've followed him since Carrie. Ms. Ford appears to be in the habit of stringing the reader along. Not for me, thank you. Don't be fooled by the page count, it means nothing.Product details

This story is becoming more intriguing as it goes on. The characters and story was written beautifully. Liam is one handsome strange dude and he has fallen in love I such a short time. I hope Emery can get to speak about his past. I will be waiting for the next book to see what happens. I recommend a very good read.
I love book 1. Book 2, he is very Rude mean and book 2 we pretty much let her know that he owns her, he pick and choose what she can and cannot wear to pick and choose what she can and cannot wear to bed it's more like a slave relationship to me it's not my kind of book.
Hannah Ford is a wonderful author. Emery and Liam are not your normal couple. He took her as payment for money her father owed from gambling. He wanted her desperately the first time he saw her. Emery was a virgin, but Liam was so handsome and sexy, she couldn't help but be turned on by him. Even though her mind said what they did together was humiliating, her body and heart could not fight it. Has a cliff hanger that keeps you wanting more. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
The book starts out with Emery who is in Liams playroom but it is like no other. Its more a room for punishment and she gets to choose out of a bowl which punishment to receive. You need to read what happens there. Then one day she goes to the office with him and does school work and her friend Maddie comes busting through. She demands to take her home and Liam is debated whether that is best but Emery is hooked on him. Maddie agrees to let it go after they go out for coffee but then the cops get involved. After that day Liam decides to take him with her to his parents house in California. While on the flight there a few unexpected events which one of them turns naughty. There is a suprise ending as well
I really love the style of Hannah Ford's books but I don't understand why she just doesn't charge more for the book and provide the ending. His Property is a great story but I would have rather her the complete story. One other book of hers has 22 series and I believe the last one was released in 2016 so come on lets finish the stories. I tend to go to writers that give me the complete series. I gave it only 3 stars because of the fact that she leaves us hanging and by the time the next one comes out I have moved on and have lost interest. She is a great writer but enough is enough
I have never really been a tremendous fan of long serials. I honestly have a crap memory, and it is difficult for me to remember all of the details of the previous book/s. I find it hard to jump right back into a story, after much time and many books.
Therefore, when I do read a long series of novella length books, I usually wait until they are all released. Hence, the cliffhangers don't bother me, there is no waiting, and more of a continuous flow, without the risk of confusion with other books.
However, every once in a while, for whatever reason, I will read serials, as they are released. In this case, I wasn't aware His Property Book 1 was a serial, so that was a surprise.
Lucky, I didn't have to wait long for Book 2. I have fallen in love with this story. There is a bit of darkness to it, and steamy off-the-charts sex. I have come to already enjoy Hannah Ford's way of storytelling, and her imaginative plots.
I love both characters Emory and her "captor", Liam. I can't wait to learn more about them, and if they will end up together. I was so surprised at how quickly I immersed myself right back into the plot line of His Property. I am loving the first two books, and they combine for a great beginning to a very intriguing series.
A five star entertaining quick read. A few typos, but nothing unforgivable.
